About the event

Ashley Coulston is a cold-blooded killer presently in prison for a triple murder in Melbourne in 1992. He had a brief moment of fame as Captain BathTub - the bloke who tried to sail his 2.4m boat GDAY 88 across the Tasman to celebrate the bi-centennial. Instead, he sailed into a cyclone and had to be rescued. But like Milat, and around the same times, Coulston prowled the eastern states seeking out victims. His criminal career started at 14 when he adducted two young schoolteachers at gunpoint. He’s the prime suspect for sexual assualts and a murder on the Gold Coast - The Balaclava Killer (and Duncan’s first murder investigation) - and sexual assaults around Sydney. His career ended in Melbourne when he attacked three people outside the National Gallery of Victoria just one month after the horrendous1992 triple murder of three young people seeking a flatmate.  He’s now a suspect in…
